New Covers for THE MAGIC WAKES Series

One of my favorite forms of procrastination is messing around with book covers. Did you know that they say refreshing your book cover every two to three years can help boost sales? I don't know if that's true, but I think the idea is you stay current with the popular trends.

Too bad science fantasy covers are ALL over the place!

My real question is, who can afford that? So, I'm trying to improve my cover art creation skills. It's not my best quality. I'd rather be writing, but as covers become simpler and more tools become available, maybe it's something I can learn. The best thing was after showing my kids what I'd come up with and asking their opinion, my oldest daughter took pity on me.
